Another training ride on Cantelow Road

Its the closest hilly area to Davis. But, you have to ride 20 miles of flat windswept ag. land to get to it. 52 miles total today. Windy from the southwest. Expected and prepared for rain with rain coat and fenders but only sprinkled a bit and it was pretty warm too. I added a small handlebar bag in between my two aero bars to hold food and my iPod to play music. It adds weight in front of the front wheel hub. Only problem is that the front wheel really starts to shimmy badly during hands free riding -- which I don't do a lot of except occasionally to rip open a food packet to eat. Have been gathering music onto my iPod for the ride and it shuffled to one of Sandy's songs (Hey Bully) just as I started the Cantelow climb.

Here is a link to my ride data. That is data that my Garmin 405 watch/cycle-computer gathers on speed, heart rate, pedaling cadence (though that was broken on this ride) and GPS.

Panorama from top of Cantelow (hey, Terry, can your iPhone do that?)
If you click on the pictures, a browser tool should bring them up in higher resolution.

Its really amazing how pretty this area looks in the spring. In the summer, its all dry brown and hotter than heck midday.
