This is a blog about my Ride (not Race) Across America from Costa Mesa, CA. to Amesbury MA. April 21-May 22, 2103 for my 50th Birthday with videos, pictures and commentary. I encourage my family and friends to post comments, questions and, especially, encouraging words (one can never get enough encouragement ;). If you want to find older posts to catch up on what I've been up to during the ride, go the to bottom of the page and pull down the "Blog Archive" menu.
Boo that video sped up was something else. Whew, be careful out there and Like Scott said drink fluids. Looking at the atmosphere made me want to drink water. Sleep, eat, drink, pray and mostly have a blast. Hugging you closely in spirit. love PP
In your videos, it looks like just you alone. Is everyone going at their own pace and then just meeting up at certain locations during the day? Is there a buddy system of some sort in place or is it better to just let folks ride at their own pace?
Yeah I have been alone far too much. problem is I am not strong enough for the first group and I am a little too strong for the second group. I will probably have to taper off enjoying the second group. The two were coordinator thinks I am unsocial;)
Mark, hang with the slower group then. It is nice to have people to ride with and I don't want you alone the whole time. I thought everyone was going faster except you. I want you to do this at your own pace but I want you to ride with some people too. Social up. love sandy
Looked like a Hot and Dry One...What kind of temperatures did you pull up on your Garmin? Stay on top of your hydration. Hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteI have a cheapo Garmin 405. It doesn't measure temperatures. But other riders Garmins were saying the road temperature was 07
