This is a blog about my Ride (not Race) Across America from Costa Mesa, CA. to Amesbury MA. April 21-May 22, 2103 for my 50th Birthday with videos, pictures and commentary. I encourage my family and friends to post comments, questions and, especially, encouraging words (one can never get enough encouragement ;). If you want to find older posts to catch up on what I've been up to during the ride, go the to bottom of the page and pull down the "Blog Archive" menu.

Love all the comments
I love all the comments everyone is posting. If I don't reply it just because I don't always have enough time t
Mark, I agree with Sandy. You have a ton going on with just the ride, so don't worry about the blog stuff. I'm super proud of you and you look great in the photos. Remember: safety, hydrate, e-caps, good quality calories and one day at a time.
Enjoy the beauty and opportunity of the experience.
Just to give you a little perspective, I am feeling good about my own riding in that this will be the first week of the year that I will have ridden to work all 5 days! A big 70 miles total!.
Oh, also another little gem: Last year I did a calculation to figure our how many miles correspond to 1 million pedal strokes. It's in the range of 3000 miles, so likely you will be getting in a million on this trip.
You just focus on taking care of yourself. Love you boo!
