Dodging the wind to Dodge City

Today was one of our easier days; 85 miles and 1,300 feet of climbing.

I decided to go out a bit harder today than I have on previous days. I was out of the hotel first today riding with Tim. So I wound up being first to lunch stop sometimes maintaining 23 mph in the first 38 miles. I let my heart date drift into the high 150s for a few minutes at a time. My leg muscles felt pretty good.

The one and only SAG stop today was at mile 38 at the Dalton gang hideout.

After the lunch stop, I dialed my effort down a bit and worked with three other riders, Greg, Max and Jan. We hit some bigger wind heading north on 283 but managed to finish the day in under 6 hours.

We're at the Dodge House hotel a few miles from Boot Hill. Richard and I played some ping pong and we celebrated Ralph's birthday. Mike also prepared us for tomorrow's weather.
