Happened to be in Fresno for Sandy's great Uncle James 90th birthday. As luck would have it, Fresno cycling club was running the Clovis Big Hat Century. Trouble was they weren't starting it 'til 8:30am and I needed to start by 7am to be back for the birthday party. So I did the ride unregistered and was totally alone the whole ride. I stopped for water and food at a store at the lake. I did see Big Hat riders heading up as I descended but only saw about 15 total on the century route. Beautiful day for a ride though a little cool up at Bass Lake. Almost collided with a big Canadian Honker that was trying to land right in front of me. Startled the heck out of me. It was about 120 miles and 5000 feet of climbing (the Big Hat web site says its 5,500 and some data on Ride With GPS says its 7,000 but my own Garmin 405 said it was only 4,900). I finished in just over 7 hours elapsed time. Here is my ride data.

Hi, I'm not so much interested in the Bike and Bass Lake pictures but did have some interest in the picture of the lady in purple. Wow...she's a real knock out. Who is that striking young lady?
